Reverend Cleveland is frequently called upon to bring people together on the most pressing current problems facing the community. He works closely with the Police Department related to the issue of biased based policing. He not only participates in the Biased-Based Policing Committee, he also addressed this issue while his speaking at the 2016 Police Citizens Award Banquet, and participating in the Police Department Faith Council, which was established to strengthen partnerships between the Police Department and the Faith Community. He spearheaded other local efforts, such as Boys to Men Program. Reverend Cleveland focuses on projects that are achieving fundamental community change.
Reverend Cleveland is recognized nationally for his expertise in eradicating poverty and bringing people together. In July 2016 he served as a panelist for the American Enterprise Institute’s forum on “Empowering Americans in Poverty: A Proposal for Reforming the Safety Net”. The presentation was nationally broadcast over C-Span.
